People considering co-ownership for the first time usually want the same thing before they want anything else: a plain explanation of how it actually works.

The Property, Structured Properly

Each Meridian36 property is set up as its own dedicated Spanish company. Co-owners hold shares in that company, and that company owns the property outright. This is the mechanism that turns a co-owner’s stake into a registered, documented ownership interest, rather than an informal agreement between individuals.

You are not splitting a key. You are holding a registered ownership interest in the entity that owns the home.

How Access Is Allocated

Each ownership share is tied to a defined, proportional allocation of time at the property, coordinated transparently so every owner knows exactly what they are entitled to, well in advance. There is no informal negotiation, no first come first served scramble.

How Costs Are Handled

Shared costs, maintenance, management, insurance, taxes, are distributed across owners in proportion to their share, and handled by a professional management layer rather than left to individual owners to coordinate among themselves.

What You Actually Hold

At the end of it, what you hold is straightforward: a documented ownership interest in a property in Southern Spain, a fair and reliable claim on your time there, and a structure built to handle the parts of ownership that have nothing to do with actually enjoying the place.

The structure exists so the experience does not have to be complicated, even though the legal mechanics behind it are handled properly.

People considering co-ownership for the first time usually want the same thing before they want anything else: a plain explanation of how it actually works.
